Track Owners and Managers

Want to host a King of the Streets event at your track?

Here are the requirements...............

Your track must have and maintain a excellent racing surface at all times.  The track has to be prepped and maintained the entire eighth mile.  Some of these cars put down well in excess of 1000hp on 28" X 10" tires at 3000+ pounds.

A way to dry the track in the event of a short light rain.

All the timing equipment must be functioning properly.

You must be able to give accurate and complete print outs for every round that includes reaction time, car number and MPH.

The track has to have a designated weigh in area with accurate scales.

EMTs on the premises at all times

Easily accessible fire extinguishers.

The track puts up the payout of $1000 winner and $250 runner up for Street Race. Street Race entry is $50 per car.  The track keeps the entry money.
The 2 index classes have a entry fee of $40 and that money in divided up by the winners.  The winner gets 75% and the runner up takes 25% of the entry money.

If you do the math, hosting a King of the Streets event doesn't cost you anything.  Every car that enters in the 3 classes brings an average of 3 crew members with them.  At a low turnout race that money adds up to at least $1000. That money and the entry of the first 5 Street Race cars covers the purse.  The other Street Race entries, the extra crew members, all the spectators that a King of the Streets race brings and the concession sales added to the regular bracket racing makes for a very profitable day at your track.  There is no extra staffing required, KOTS provides their own tech and staff to ensure the day goes smoothly.

Hosting a King of the Streets event can bring great publicity and attention to your facility.  All races are covered by King of the Streets TV, advertised in AutoTrader, discussed in as many as 8 online forums and gets occasional mention on radio, TV and magazines.
