June
14th Rainout
The hurricane hit, the track crew
worked hard to get the track dry. As soon
as it was, the rain attacked again. Fox
21/27's Becky Freemal was the only one with all
weather tires on her hot rod, so she won the
race uncontested. The race has been
rescheduled to this Saturday, June 21st at Motor
Mile in Radford. Elk Creek will in turn be
getting the July 12th date.

The Memorial
Day race at Motor Mile Dragway was a big success
with K92's Monica Brooks taking a ride in
Junkyard Dog Terry Harris' 67 Chevy II and we
saw several new cars in both classes.

2008 Looking to
be an Exciting Season
With our new
partnerships with RacingJunk.com and Autotrader
Magazine and coverage on Street Legal TV, more
fans and potential racers will be
exposed to King of the Streets Drag Racing
Series. We will see several new cars that
have been in the works locally including Team
Junkyard's Tommy Sullivan's big block 67
Chevelle. There are rumored planned mid
season new
motors for Fast Eddie and Terry
Harris. Stacey Kincer plans to debut his
new Vortech blown combo in his formally nitrous
injected SBF Mustang in September.
True Street looks like it may turn out to be our
most popular class. True Street racers have
already learned how to talk smack King of the
Streets style on the forum and new cars are
popping up all over.

Notorious street racer Big Craig Stout who's motto is "bring it
to the street" brought it to the track in 2007 earning him #2 in
the points with his nitrous
gulping big block 69 Camaro.
See Big Craig lie
to Pinks staff about how fast his car is.
VIDEO We saw his
car go easy 5.6s on the small tires. That would be high 8's in
the quarter. |

Fast Eddie
shows why he is the official 2007
King of the Streets!
Eddie Plybon wins the final race of 2007 and takes the points lead even
further.

Coming in second in the
points almost falling to Jay Thompson was Craig Stout. With
mere points apart from frontrunners Jay, Tristin Begley and Jon
Rittenhouse.

Eddie
started the 2007 season with his 18
degree SBC naturally aspirated C4
Corvette. He won several races and
always
finished
in the top of the field. He
purchased the bad black Eltruck from
former champion King of the
Streets/Diesel Up racer, Greg Meredith.
The Elcamino packs a nasty all motor
SB2.
Eddie has been racing his whole life and
has many accomplishments. He spent
the early 90s racing professionally in
NHRA and IHRA Pro-Stock. He has
raced his Corvettes ever since in
numerous organizations all over the
country, If you Google the name
Eddie Plybon you will read for hours
about his wins. If you come race
in King of the Streets and get lined up
with a man in an open faced helmet with
a cigar hanging out of his mouth, you
had better have eaten your Wheeties and
had 10 Red Bulls or you are fixin to get
treed. |

Patrick Banard,
driver of Big Craig's Camaro in 2007
was killed in a
motorcycle accident. He will be missed by KOTS and all his friends.
The first race of every
King-of-the-Streets season will
be dedicated to the memory of
Patrick and will be named
The Patrick Barnard Memorial
Race

Rest in peace Patrick.
