Motor Mile June 21st 2008

A fantastc day for racing unfolded at the Motor Mile with clear skies and a good sticky track.  We we graced with the presence of the Carolina boys and SSCA's Mike Fulbright.  They brought 3 fast Mustangs that really put some coal on the KOTS fire.  They managed the 1st, 2nd. and 4th qualifying positions in Street Race.  By the semi-finals there was only one left, the white coupe of Danny Phillips.  Phillips fell to KOTS regular Jayson Dalton so it was Dalton and Ben Wirt in the finals.  Ben Wirt had made quick work of the field with his turbo SBF Mustang but was having electrical problems by the finals that was getting worse.  Jayson had broke off his gas petel in the semis so was stomping a nub in the finals against Ben,  Ben barely edged out Jayson with a crippled slowest final in KOTS history with a 6.30 to a 6.37.

True Street Had a poor turnout of only 3 cars with Kid Rocket DJ Thompson comming out on top.  The low car count promted Chuck to change up True Street into 2 index classes with looser rules to allow more cars to fit.
