The battle was bloody and violent with Team Carolina coming back with a vengeance.  They came to Elk Creek with more cars and more nitrous.  David Pearson came back for blood and took the #1 qualifying position for Team Carolina but Virginia soldier Jon Rittenhouse set a new Street Race Record with a smokin 5.08. By the semi-finals Jon Rittenhouse was the only Virginian left standing with 3 bad Carolina boys left ready to finish him off.  Rittenhouse takes out Jeff Plymons and Kenneth Warta took out one of his own the Wheelie Man Joey Billings to get his chance at victory.  The final round was a nail bitter with Warta cutting the tree down on Jon but Jon had the horses to run Warta down with a 5.15 to Warta's 5.24.
